Recent and Current Events

  • BBEF Annual Meeting March 14, 2022  This is our chance to  celebrate our Giving Projects for 2021, which were largely intact in spite of difficulties caused by the pandemic.  We also look forward to approving our next round of educational projects for  Tigard-Tualatin and Sherwood schools.  We will look forward to awarding grants for women educators in Oregon completing their academic work.   Changes to the Bylaws will be presented, and approved (or not)  via electronic voting!
  • We put on a Virtual Fall Auction, netting over $7000 to keep providing funding for our Dictionary project and Financial Aid program.
  • We carried out plans for a Covid-safe Garage Sale that netted over $4000 to support our giving projects
  • Our Annual Lasagna Dinner was a fundraiser this year, with orders for our famous Lasagna and super-rich cheesy French bread being sold and distributed.  Profits of $900 benefitted the foundation and our many projects for teachers and students.
